Description
Frozen rhubarb, prepared from the properly developed, fresh stem of the rhubarb plant, is trimmed, washed ant cut. Cuts are individually quick frozen (IQF) and stored at temperatures necessary for the preservation of the product.

Microbiological
Free from visible mold or yeast growth. Free of pathogens.

Shall have uniform pink to crimson red color. Shall not be tough after normal cooking and shall retain reasonable character. Shall have the typical, slightly astringent flavor of properly prepared rhubarb.

Packed in 22 lb net weight poly lined boxes of sufficient bursting strength and sealed with tape. Label shall identify:

Storage & Shelf Life
Store product at zero degrees Fahrenheit or below for up to 18 months after arrival.
Shipping
All deliveries shall conform to the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act as amended. All products are to be of USDA Grade A quality as defined by the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service.
