IQF WHOLE NW (20 LB CTN)

(20, 22, or 30 lbs, subject to availability)

Description

IQF Whole (NW) red raspberries are prepared from clean, fresh, Northwest red raspberries, which have been processed following good manufacturing practices under sanitary conditions. The fruit is washed, stemmed, sorted and drained before being individually quick frozen (IQF) and then immediately packed into cartons. No additives are used in processing to preserve or change flavor or color.

Product shall meet Federal minimum tolerances for herbicide and pesticide residues.

Packaging & Shipping

IQF red raspberries are packed in poly lined cartons with a net weight of 20, 22 or 30 lbs (subject to availability). Each container shall be marked with:

  • product identity
  • net weight
  • manufacturer's name
  • lot number

Product will be stored and shipped at zero degrees Fahrenheit or below.

Product is guaranteed to be in compliance with the United States Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and all State and local regulations.

Description

Product is prepared from clean, fresh, Chilean red raspberries, which have been processed following good manufacturing practices and under sanitary conditions. Red raspberries are washed, stemmed, sorted and drained before being individually quick frozen (IQF) and then immediately packed into cartons. No additives are used in processing to preserve or change flavor or color.

Packaging

Product is packed in polyethylene bags, enclosed in cartons containing 22 lbs net weight.

Appearance, odor and taste shall meet material requirements.

No additives are used in processing to preserve or change flavor or color.

STRAIGHT PACK WHOLE NW RED RASPBERRIES (28 LB CTN)

Description

Product is prepared from properly ripened fresh fruit, which has been washed, stemmed and sorted. The product shall be USDA Grade B or better and shall comply with the requirements of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act as amended.

Packaging   Product is packed in 28-lb plastic pails.

Color

Raspberries will have a reasonably bright color, typical of properly matured fruit. Color will be uniform throughout the pack.

Character   USDA Grade B or better

Flavor & Odor

Product will have a good characteristic flavor and odor and will be free from objectionable flavors and odors.

Foreign Material

USDA Grade B or better. Extraneous material such as rocks, dirt and sand will not be present in this product.

Brix

Raspberries will have a minimum Brix reading of 8.0 at time of pack, as measured by refractometer.

Microbiological Requirements

Standard Plate Count  50,000/g maximum
Yeast & Mold  200/g maximum
Coliform  50/g maximum

This product will be free from any pathogenic organisms.

Proper thawing of fruit is necessary to inhibit the growth of organisms.
