IQF ORGANIC FROZEN TOMMY ATKINS MANGO CHUNKS

Description

The finished Organic Tommy Atkins Mango Chunks shall be packed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and graded in accordance with current U.S. Standards for Grades of Frozen Mango. The processoris responsible for understanding these reuirements and therefore, ascertaining that the raw product is certified organic. Furthermore, the organic integrity of the raw product shall be maintained throughout the entire receiving, processing, storage and shipping operations. Adequate records indicating this shall be kept for reference, allowing the product to be traced from the time of receipt to the time of dispersal.

The Organic Tommy Atkins Mango shall possess similar varietals characteristics, have good flavor and odor, good color, and be practically free from defects. The product shall be certified by inspection records prepared by qualified personnel or government agency and be made available to the buyer upon request.

Color Varies from yellow to orange, typical for well-ripened mango.
Size Not more than 20% by count shall be outside the 1” +/− ¼” range.
Defects The product shall be practically free from defects, with the exceptions below:
        Stems and Leaves - None are allowed.
      Minor Blemishes - Not more than 30% by count may be blemished.
      Crushed - Not more than 5% by count may be crushed.
      Clumps - Not more than 5%.
Character The Organic Tommy Atkins Mango product shall be firm to ripe, with no more than 5% by count being soft or mushy fruit per one-pound sample.
