For more than 25 years, we’ve been contributing to our customers’ success.  From humble beginnings as a start-up bakery supplier, we’ve grown into a $25 million wholesale supplier of frozen ingredients, specializing in frozen fruit. But we still have the soul of a smaller company - passionate about service, and hands-on with our customers.

Located in the picturesque Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania, the PROgram was founded in 1980 by four industry professionals with experience in industrial food marketing and manufacturing. These four individuals recognized the need for a new model to serve a portion of the wholesale bakery trade, unable to take advantage of truckload purchasing and delivery. Our company started by supplying customers with the ABCs of the bakery trade - apples, blueberries and cherries. Over the years, our company's reputation grew rapidly within the industry and so did the demand for our products.  Along with an increase in product demand, we noticed that our customers were requesting more variety of frozen ingredients.  As a result, today the PROgram stocks over 100 SKU’s including hard to find specialty fruits like gooseberries and currants.

the PROgram’s success today can be directly linked to the business model the company adapted over 25 years ago, which focused on earning our way into the industry with great service and solid growth, by carefully selecting our employees and business partnerships.  This focus has earned our company a great reputation within the industry of which we continue to be proud.

As our company continued to grow and the food industry began to rely on us as a major supplier of frozen ingredients, we were presented with new business opportunities. Several years ago we teamed up with Ocean Spray Cranberries to help them develop new markets for frozen cranberries.  This relationship was a great success for us and as a result, we became their master distributor.  the PROgram is now the largest distributor of frozen cranberries in North America. In 1998 we partnered with Chiquita Brands to work with one of their national customers and we have been very successful with that relationship. Today we continue to look for business opportunities to partner with companies who need help with distribution as we remain focused on product quality, servicing our customers and solid growth.
